Call to order: The meeting called to order at 7:03pm 2. Communications from the public: No Communications 3. Discussion and possible action regarding March 19, 2014 minutes: Stacy made a motion to approve the minutes as presented, Stefanie second the minutes and the minutes passed unanimously. 4. Discussion and possible action regarding the 2014, 4th of July Celebration A. Parade: Kimberly informed the committee that the parade applications have been sent out to all applicants. James stated the Friendswood Shriners will be participating in the parade this year. B. Day Program: Kimberly asked the committee if they want to increase the generator fee to the booth applicants that need it. Committee suggested charging booth; JK Eats and More $80 for generator service, the same as the year before. Kimberly informed the committee that we have received 8 booth applications. James stated that our new amusement ride vendor is Can Do events. C. Evening: Tommy informed the group of changes for the night program. He stated that we will be moving the stage towards the light pole closer to the VIP tent; it will be help control that area more, the carnival will be set up in the parking lot; the food court area will stay in the same location; by the pavilion. James stated he is looking into getting a 6ft chain linked fence panels. We need to contact PD on the change of location. Amusement ride presale tickets will be $5, the day of the event $10 per ticket. Presell tickets will be advertised, sold at city hall and at Concert in the Park. James offered to get an ATM for the day and night program. James talked to Scott Gordon with the Lighthouse Cooking Team; they will have their meeting tonight and confirm participation. James stated we still need confirmation on the sky divers. Pat stated he would talk to the skydiving team about their participation. Gary Williams has left message with Interstate Barricades on the use of their fencing/barricades, he will follow up this week. 5. Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 7:36pm.
