Call to order: The meeting was called to order at 7:02 p.m. 2. Communications from the public: James informed the group that our media employee will be at the 4th filming the 4th. Jeff will edit the video and distributed thru out the community the next week. The drone will film the night program. Mike with FISD transportation asked if we could fix the way the barricades we’re set up last year, they were too close. Make sure they have enough room to go in and out of the handicap drop off. Food will be confirmed with Sonic then will get the number from Mike. Aaron with Sky Wonder informed the group that the event will have double the shells for the event at the same price, committee was happy to hear that. 3. Discussion and possible action regarding February 18, 2015: Kathy made a motion to approve the minutes as presented, Barbara second the motion and the motion was passed unanimously. 4. Discussion and possible action regarding the 2015: A. Parade: James stated that we'll use the same vendor for the radios this year. Bicycles will get trophies. Need signage for the judging zone elevated. Performance in motion. Starting at Castlewood signage stating "judging zone" to the video area. B. Day: Need entertainment, will order wrist bands three colors. Michelle requested to have keys to both gates and electrical box. Will need 2 generators. C. Evening: The sound, stage and band have been confirmed. Will need to go out for bid for the stage, sound and band in the future. James informed the group that we have been using Scott Gordon’s mobile home for the band and the mobile home is now in Galveston we might not be available this year. We need to come up with a plan on what we're going to do. Barbara has a contact for a trailer. Scott usually feeds the group at night, it depends on what he gets from the event before, and we know a confirmation on the food. Next month Aaron will have the simulations ready of the entire fireworks show. Will spend around 45 minutes on this to critique it. Barbara made a motion to spend $1300 on additional fireworks for the 4th, if the insurance approves Aaron accessing the bucket truck to install the fireworks, if not $2600 with Aaron providing his own lift. Kathy seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously. Staff will look for sponsors. 5. Adjournment: Meeting adjourned at 8:30pm. Approved by: Kimberly Ramirez Date: May 13, 2015
