HomeMy WebLinkAboutFourth of July Steering Committee Minutes 2017-04-194th of July Steering Committee Minutes April 19, 2017 Committee members in attendance: Kathy Molinaro Chris Scarpa Rufino Ramirez Michelle Scarpa Barbara Blanchard Darrell Fales Tommy McDonald Kimberly Ramirez, Staff Michael Boyett, Staff Terri Corbett Renae Rives Billy Enochs, Council Liasion 1. Call to order: Meeting was called to order at 6pm. 2. Communications from the public: Trish Hanks has accepted the invitation of being this year’s Grand Marshal and she’s very thankful for the invite. 3. Discussion and possible action regarding March 22, 2017 minutes: Barbara made a motion to approve the minutes as presented, Chris second the motion and the motion was approved unanimously. 4. Discussion and possible action regarding the 2017, 4th of July Celebration A. Parade: Kimberly informed the committee that we have received 10 parade applications. B. Day Program: Kimberly informed the committee that we have received quite a few booth applications. Will be taking credit card payment thru our Retrac software the day of the event along with the ACU ATM trailer. We can take up to 100 booth vendors this year. C. Evening: Barbara stated the trailer has been confirmed but Terry Vaughn is requesting advertisement. We can make a special banner. We need stage generator, Darrell will make contact with the person we contact. Committee suggested adding more booth vendors for the night program to avoid long lines. Need parking passes for night program. Tommy can go to the back gate and help PD with limiting the amount of people parking at Centennial. Renae offered to monitor the back gate as well. Need more orange fencing. Will need an additional tent for the back of the stage so the band can change. 5.
