Call to Order Committee Chair Nancy Mastrofrancesco called the meeting to order at 9:17 am. 3. Invocation The invocation was given by Committee Member Doris Ochoa. 4. Communications from the Public Council Member Sally Branson announced that as of July 6, 2020 she became the new liaison and Robert J. Griffon is the alternate. 5. Approval of Minutes A. March 10, 2020 Meeting Minutes Committee Member David O’Brien moved to approve the March 10, 2020 Meeting Minutes. 6. Discussion of Possible Actions A. Veterans Day Drive-Thru [Thursday, November 12, 2020; 8:30 am – 9:30 am at the Activity Building Parking Lot] Staff will set up a tent in the parking lot at the Activity Building and give out Whataburger taquitos, milk, and orange juice sponsored by Jeter Memorial Funeral Home and coffee provided and sponsored by Dunn Brothers Coffee. All veterans will be asked to drive in through the entrance on Morningside Drive and out the exit at Spreading Oaks Avenue. Committee Member David O’Brien asked if there was a need for volunteers, but he was informed that due to pandemic restrictions, volunteers were not allowed at this time. B. Phase I Reopening Procedures Assistant Senior Program Manager Shadey Caraveo-Saldaña announced the facility would reopen with limited activities starting on Monday, November 16, 2020. She also reviewed the online activity registration process, the check-in process and all required protocols to ensure proper COVID-19 sanitation. Committee Member Doris Ochoa requested step by step instructions on how to register online to be included on an email to all participants. 6. Reports A. Assistant Director’s Report PARD Assistant Director Michael Boyett announced that the department would not have a Santa in the Park event. KFB and the PARD have prepared a lighted trail at Stevenson park starting on November 27, 2020 through Christmas. The Assistant Director stated that the Flap Jack Run will be virtual. 7. Comments Citizen Linda Titus asked for more information on online registration. Assistant Senior Program Manager reviewed the process for registration but advised Ms. Titus to call the office for more detailed instructions. 8. Adjournment Committee Member David O’Brien moved to adjourn the meeting and Committee Member Vickie Hefner seconded. This meeting was adjourned at 9:51 am.
