MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
·May 22, 1984
A meeting of the Friendswood Board of Adjustment was held in the Council Champers at City Hall on Tuesday, May 22, 1984, at 7:00 p.m. with the fo ll owing members present:

Nick Capuano, Building Inspector Vance Ri ley;·Fire Marshal Johri Olson, City Attorney Pamela He nry, Secretary
With a quorum present, the following business wa s transacted:
ROBERT A. AND RENEE P.· JORDAN
Mr. and Mrs. Jordan requested a variance.to bui ld a garage at 311 Oak Vista in Stouts Addition because there is not enough room for a garage.with the required 25 foot off set from theback lin e of the ·prop erty. · ·
The lot is vacant and they.would like to buil.d the garage and live in it white their house is-being build on the same property.
They show ed the members of the board a plat of the lot. The lot is 90 feet by 160 feet and there are no easements on the property.
They would like the garage to be 10 feet -from the property line. It ·would be consistent with the other houses in the neighborhood.
MOTION: . (Baker) To grant the variance· allowing _the back of the garage at 311 Oak Vista to be 10 feet fr,om the property line. Second: Sa lyer Vote: Unanimous FOR MOTION CARRIED
LUCIO'S BAR�B-QUE
Shelly Rinehart. representing Lucio's Bar-B-Que requested a varinace for a po�table sign to attract business to their new bar-b-que restaurant.· They have only been open two months.
Each bus iness in the :_city of Friendswood is allowed a portable sign for two weeks ·for their g.rand opening and an additional three weeks for the remain der of the year. This is allowed under the Friendswood Sign Ordinance and the total of three weeks is al_lowable once every year.
Luc io's Bar-B-Que is located in a sh opping center in an area that was annexed by the City of Friendswood in December of 1983. The shopping center is at 5131 FM 2351.
