FRIENDSWOOD BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS
June 2, 1981"
The Friendswood Board of Adjustments met in a meeting on Tuesday, June 2, 1981 at 8:00 p.m. in the Public Works Building with the following members present:

After the meeting was called to order, the Chairman appointed Joe Tennison as a regular member for the meeting.
GENERAL HOMES -Setback variance on corner lots in Wilderness Trails Subdivision
Donald Evans, Mike Love and Dan Clerico came before the Board requesting a 10 1 side setback variance on 25 of the 176 lots in Wilderness Trails Subdivision. They were unaware of the Ordinance requirements for side setback on corner lots at the time of purchase. Their models are at 1,600 square feet, which none of them will fit on the corner lots and allow the proper side setback. The entire 10 foot variance would not be needed on every corner lot since the front footage varies per lot.
The Board discussed the request and the fact that the corner visibility requirement of 25 feet would be met if the variance was granted.
MOTION: (Whitaker) to grant the 10 foot variance for the 25 corner lots as requested for the side setback with the provision they meet the corner visibility requirement of the ordinance maintaining the 10 foot setback requirement on the opposite sides of the lots. Second: Tennison Vote: UNANIMOUS FOR MOTION CARRIED
A motion was made for adjournment. The meeting adjourned.
