MEETING OF THE FRIENDSWOOD BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS
November 13, 1979
A meeting of the Friendswood Board of Adjustments was held at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall on November 13, 1979, with the following members present:
Bruce Foster -Chairman Ed Dykes Hal Taylor Elvia Salyer (alternate)
with a quorum present the following business was transacted:
FENCE VARIANCE 901 Layfair
Mr. Bezdek came before the Board requesting a variance on a fence already constru cted at 901 Layfair. The fence extends to the front property line and is 50 1 from FM 528. Mr. Bezdek constructed the fence unaware of the city ordinance. The fence is a three (3) horizonal rail fence constructed for ornamental purposes.
The Board agreed due to the fact of the fence already being constructed it would present a hardship to remove. They requested a letter from the Architectural Committee and the neighbors of agreement.
MOTION: (Dykes) to grant variance contingent on a letter of agreement from the Architectural Committee and neighbors. Second: Taylor Vote: UNANIMOUS FOR MOTION CARRIED
