The followingCommissioners were present. Miller -Chairman Holt Cress Brown Beggs With a quorum present and Belden absent, the following business was transacted. CHAIRMAN RALPH MILLER CA LLED THE PLANNING AND ZON ING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING TO ORDER TO CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING ITEM: 860' NORTH SIDE F.M. 528 BEING AT WEST PROPERTY LINE OF THE PARK BEING 645' IN DEPTH REQUEST: CSC AND MFR-L TO PUD LOCATION : 300' EAS T OF NE CORNER F.M . 528 AND WINDING WAY Kent Ballard addressed City Council, Planning and Zoning Commission and the Audience introducing Elmo Robinson of Great American Homes who presented the following information on the request for rezoning. 12. 72 Acres -Retirement Center -Project bo be done by GreatAmerican Retirement Center, Inc. 162 Units -125-1 Bedrooms 36-2 Bedrooms (3 meals a day will be served as well as provisions for transportation) 1 _] Page 2 August 1, 1985 Cha irman Ralph Miller, referred to the zoning ordinance permitted use in a PUD which requires a specific use permit before a bu ild­ing permit may be issued. The application for pro cedure wo uld need to be complied with in order to obtain final appro val. Mr. Miller suggested the public hearing be recess ed in order to allow for co mp letion of the items required by a specific use permit. Councilman Bob Wicklander suggested they close the public hearing and that the Planning and Zoning Commission review and make a recommendation to Council who will either concur or oppose the request.
