A REX;ULAR MEETING OF THE FRIENDSYIUJD PLANNING AND ZONING <X1-1MISSION WAS HELD ON THURSDAY, OC'IOBER 4, 1990, AT 7:00 P.M. IN THE CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS. THE FOLLONING MEMBERS WERE PRESENT: BAI<ER -CHAIRMAN COLBURN KONCABA McHUGH RODGF.FS HENRY -DEVELOPMENI' CXX)RDINATOR BRINKMAN - SECREI'ARY WITH A QUORUM PRESENT, HOLZ SCHUH AND WASSON ABSENT, 'l'HE FOLLOivING ITEMS WERE CONSIDERED. CHAIRMAN BAKER CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AND ASKED FOR CCM'1UNICATIONS FRCM THE PUBLIC. DUANE SHEE":I'S ADDRESSED THE CCT-1MISSION REGARDING THE PUBLIC HEARING OF OCTOBER 1, 1990 FOR THE ZONE CLASSIFICATION CHANGE REQUEST FOR PROPERI'IES I..ccATED IN THE OAK TREE DEVELOPMFNI'. HE REMINDED THE CCM,iISSION THAT HE SPOKE 00 BF.HALF OF THE HClw1EavNER'S ASSOCIATION OF LAURELFJEW SUBDIVISION WHO DID NOT WISH THE PROPERTIES TO BE REZONED P.B PER THE REQUESTS. HE FURTHER STATED THAT SHOULD THE <X1-1MISSION DECIDE TO RECXM'1END TO CITY C'OUNCIL TO REZONE THE PROPERTIES ON OAK TREE, THE H�'S HAD PRESENTED A LIST OF THEIR REQUF,STS REGARDING LIGHTING AND PLAN.I'ING BARRIE.RS. DISCUSSION FOLLOlED REC'.J\RDING SET BACK LINES AND HEIQiT RESTRICTIONS. ADDITIONALLY, DRAINAGE WAS DISCUSSED WITH REGARD TO THE OAK TREE DEVELOPMENT AND IT'S IMPACT TO DRAINAGE ON THE ADJOINING PROPERTIES. THERE WERE APPROXIMATELY 15 CITIZENS IN THE AUDIENCE WHO REINFORCED MR. HE FURTHER STATED THAT THE PROPERI'Y ON OAK TREE IS ZONED CSC; HcmEVER, AN OFFICE PARK EXISTS ON THE PROPERTY AND SHOULD BE REZONED ID REFLECT WHA'I' IT IS. COLBURN MADE A MOTION THAT THE CX1-1MISSION MAKE RECa.1MENDATION TO THE CITY COUNCIL ID APPROVE THE ZONE CLASSIFICATION CHANGE REQUEST.
