MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE FRIENDSWOOD
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMI SSION
December 20, 1984
The Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commission hel d a regular meeting on Thursday, December 20, 1984, at 8:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. The following members were present.
Miller -Cha irman Holt Beggs Jones Cress Hoppe Brown
With a quorum present and with none absent, the following bus iness was tr ansacted.
Chairman Ralph Miller, called the regular meeting of the Friendswoo d Planning and Zoning Commission to order.
DMK HANOVER
The Planning and Zoning Commiss ions recommendation for DMK Hanover's request for rezoning is as follows:
MOTION: (JONES) To recommend to City Council the rezoning request by DMK Hanover as presented in the minutes of the public hearing of December 20, 1984.
SECOND: (HOPPE) VOTE: UNANIMOUS FOR
EXXON
MOTION CARRIED
The Planning and Zoning Commission is making the following recommendat ions by motion to the City Council for the rezoning request by Exxon for Well #20, 21 and 22.

MOTION: (HOPPE) To recommend to City Council the rezoning for Well #20 from R-1 to Specific Use. It is also specified that Exxon comply with all restrictions as listed in the minutes of December 6, 1984.
SECOND: (JONES) VOTE: UNANIMOUS FOR
MOTION CARRIED
MOTION: (HOPPE) To recommend to City Council the rezoning for Well #21 and #22
from R-1 to Specific Use. It is also specified that Exxon comply with all restrictions as listed in the minutes of December 6, 1984.
SECOND: (JONES) VOTE: UNANIMOUS FOR MOTION CARRIED
Planning and Zoning Commission will send a list of the restrictons for Well #20,21 and 22 to the office of the City Secretary where the well permits are issued.
JOEL HEBERT -GREENBRIAR.ACRES -FALLINGLEAF AND GREENBRIAR
Mr. Hebert wants to subdivide 2.97 acres .into 3 lots. There is a pipeline runn ing through the acreage which requires a 40' easement on each side of the pipeline. The lot with the pipeline would require a variance to build on.
MOTION: (CRESS) To recommend disappro val of subdividing of Greenbr iar Acres.
SECOND: (BROWN)
VOTE: FOR: Cress,Brown, Hoppe, Miller and Holt AGAINST: Beggs and Jones MOTION CARRIED
PUBLIC HEARING
The Planning and Zoning Commission called a Public Hea ring for
January 7, 1985 for the following items:

1.AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT READER PANELS MAY BEERECTED UPON PERMANENT ENTRANCE SIGNS IN RESIDENTIALZONES.
2.AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT AUTHORIZINGTHE USE OF CARMEL VILLAGE SUBDIVISION PHASE I AND II ANDMISSION ESTATES SUBDIVISION PHASE I, II, III AND IVSPECIFIC USE SFR.
ASTRO DEVELOPMENT. -FOUR .CORNERS FRIENDSWOOD
Nancy Bowman and John Moran are requesting the rezonjng of 9 1/2 acres on the corner of F.M. 518 and F.M. 528 from OP TO CSC. They were advised the tract needed to be subdivided before rezoning.
MOTION: (CRESS) To .recommend subdividing of 9 1/2 acres out of lots 12 and 26 of the Voss Subdivision.
SECOND: (JONES) VOTE: UNANIMOUS FOR MOTION CARRIED
Commissioner Charles Beggs, will be out of town the month of January.
MISSION ESTATES AND CARMEL VILLAGE
The Commission requested the City Manager request from the City Attorney his interpretation of an R-1 development in a PUD and how a public hearing for an R-1 in a PUD can be held.
The meeting was adjourned.
