PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
April 7,1977
The Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commission met in a regular
meeting on Thursday April 7, 1977 at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall
with the following members present:
Kenneth Fossler - Chairman
Ray Utley
Tracy Spears
Jerry Phillips
with a quorum present and Leah North, Robert Mora, and Bob Phillips
absent, the following business was transacted:
APPROVAL OF MINUTES - Minutes of a regular meeting on March 17, 1977
were approved as read.
MR. ED STUART - STONESTHROW APARTMENT COMPLEX
MOTION: (Spears) To ratify motion of March 17, for final approval
of apartment complex.
Second: J. Phillips
Vote: Unanimous MOTION CARRIED
GUIN SKETE - SUBDIVIDING LOT ON 2351
Discussion of dividing a 225' track into two 112.5' lots for residential.
Mrs. Skete was advised to have a plat drawn of the subdividing of the
lot.
TED GUILLORY - DISCUSSION OF UTILITIES FOR BUILDING ON LINSON LANE.
Mr. Guillory was advised to discuss the question of having a septic
tank for home on a 1 3/4 acre lot at Linson Lane, and the possibility
of future service from the city with the building inspector. The
commission had no objection to a septic tank. Mr. Guillory stated
he intends to hook up to city water.
MR. STEVE HAUSEMAN - REZONING OF PROPERTY AT QUAKER DRIVE AND CLEARVIEW.
Mr. Steve Hauseman asked commissions views of rezoning 5.433 acres at
Quaker Drive and Clearview from R-2 to R-4 for purpose of duplexes.
The commission agreed duplexes would be a good buffer between apart-
ments and residences. The commission asked that a plat be made
before they could give an opinion.
WINDAMERE LAKE
The commission agreed that the proposed lake should remain a part
of the subdivision and asked for the attorneys opinion on this
matter. An agreement was made to recommend to council, provided
the commission could be assured the lake would remain a part of
the subdivision.
BUSINESS
Copys were given to commission members of specifications recommended
by city engineer for approved private road. The commission agreed
the list should be filed as a reference or example.
ADJOURNMENT - A motion was made for adjournment. Meeting was
adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
