Mr. Raney, Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission
stated that Mr. Olson, City Attorney, has advised the
Commission to proceed with the re -zoning of the City of
Friendswood and the revisions of the Zoning Ordinance as
has been planned -- at this time not to change the course
of action. Mr. Olson felt that the adoption of the new
ordinance could be accomplished in the same time frame as
it would take to initiate a new action on the re --zoning of
a specific piece of property. The Chairman stated that it
is the intention of the commission to proceed in the most
expeditious manner possible.
In a discussion that followed the Chairman pledged that if
at all possible the revised ordinance and proposed zoning
mpa would be presented to the City Council at the first
meeting in December with the recommendations that they also
expedite the adoption of these documents.
NOTE:
When the Council reconvened, Mr. Raney passed the above
facts to the City Council.
ADJOURNMENT - Motion was made for adjournment. The meeting
was adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
