Chairman Tracy Spears presided. Members Present Tracy Spears, Chairman Clyde Raney, Vice -Chairman Leah North, Secretary Ken Fossler Members Absent Bob Phillips Jim Shore Ed Zeitler (Council Rep.) The meeting was called to order at 7:45 p.m. I. Drainage - GreenbriarI1 Subdivision. Mr. Ed Shumilak of the Friendswood Drainage District discussed with the Planning Commission the usage of the natural drainage ditch which runs into the creek behind the subdivision instead of the drainage easement and ditch which runs along Greenbriar Street and was deeded to the Drainage District by previous owner (Clint Hackney). The question involved whether or not to accept the natural drainage ditch, resulting in the Drainage District deeding the front ease- ment and ditch back to the present owner (Sam Vester). No definite decision had been reached by the Drainage District at that time. They will report back to the Commission upon reaching a decision. The Planning Commission favors accepting the natural ditch draining into the creek as the logical means of drainage for the subdivision. II. Forest Creek Subdivision - Preliminary Approval. Preliminary plans for Forest Creek Subdivision were submitted by Mr. Ray Diamond along with a check for preliminary fees and it was noted that lot sizes comply with the zoning ordinance. (Mrs. North left meeting at this point). With no quorum present, action was deferred until next regular meeting. It was requested a memorandum be submitted to Mayor Lowe requesting selection by the City Council of a Planning and Zoning Commission member to fill a vacated position.
