MIN UTES OF A REGULAR MEETING
FRIENDSWOOD Pl.ANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
March 2, 1978
The Friendswood Planning and Zoning Corrmission met in a regular meeting on Thursday :March 2, 1978 at 7: 30 p.m., in the City Hall with the following members present:

With a quorum present the following ±rems of business was transacted:
APPROVAL OF MINUTES -Minutes of a meeting of February 16, 1978 were approved as read.
BILL WOOD -MILLYK)OD SUBDIVISION (pre-app)
Mr. Bill ¼bod discussed the possibilities of developing a subdivision at Sedora and Shadowbend on 8 1/2 acres, which would be divided into 16 lots with open ditch and Tulack top streets. The Corrrnission advised him to also consult with the drainage district.
TOM RIVES -OFFICE BUILDING
Mr. Rives came before the Commission for approval of an office building at FM 528 and Winding Way. There is to be a 70 1 front set back with 24' at the sides. The entire project is to be completed in 1 year.
MOTION: (R. Phillips) to approve the office building for a building permit. Second: R. Utley Vote: Unanirrous FOR MOTION CARRIED
Mr. Rives asked for a 1500 sq. ft. structure to be placed on a slab of the back portion of the future building and upon construction of the future building this structure would be rerroved leaving only the slab which would then be utilized in the new building.
MOTION: (Rawley) to issue the Building permit for the first structure. Second: P. J. Mize Vote: Unanirrous FOR MOTION CARRIED

TED BOGREN -QUAKER VILLAGE (pre-app)
Mr. Pogren presented three concepts for street pattern for quaker Village. Of the three concepts the Commission favored the pattern with the interior street entending from Clearview to Skyview. Mr. Van Williams of the Fire Department also stated this concept was best su ited for fire and police protection.
GENE NITCH -HOPE LlJTI-IEREN CHURCH
Mr. Nitch asked the Corrrrnissions feelings on rezoning of 3 lots at Mary Ann and FM 518 to Comrrercial. The Corrunission advised Mr. Nitch the potential buyer should ffi:lke the request and come before the Corrrrnission.
HAROLD BENSON -PATIO HOMES AT WINDING WAY (pre-app)
Mr. Benson came before the Corrunission on the construction of 14 patio homes on 2.31 acres at Winding Way. The Corrunission discussed a sewer system easemen t which is beneath a protion of the units. The Corrrrnission advised Mr. Benson to contact the Cit y Engineer and find out the feasibilit y of relocation the sewer syatem line.
ADJOURNMENT - A motion was ma.de for adjournment, the meeting adjourned at 9 :45 p.m.
