MINU'IES OF A PUBLIC HEARING
FRIENDSWOOD PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
February 9, 1978
The Friendswcxxl Planning and Zoning Commission net for a public hearing on February 9, 1978 at ?:30 p.m. in the Cit y Hall with the following nembers present:
T.Spears -ChairmanR.UtleyR.MoraR.PhillipsJ.TarrH.Rawley
With a quorum present and P. J. Mize absent the following business was transacted:
PUBLIC HEARING -REZONING .31.505 ACRES, LOTS 42, 53, and 54 SEC 22 I&GN RR CO. SUR, A-693, BRAZORIA CO., TEXAS AND A-6iJJ.6, GALVESTON CO., TEXAS FROM R-1 TO SPECIFIC USE OIL WELL & REIATED STRUCTURES.
Crown Central Petroleum Corporation was represented by Mr. Mounce.
Mr. Robert Collier (a nearby property owner) was present and voiced his objection. The Colliers live near the site in question are are concerned wit h the arrount of noise the well W'.)uld make.
Mr. Charles Ward, attorney for Gulf Coast was also present and asked if the well could be placed in another area where surface interest would not be involved. Gulf Coast owns 450 acres in the area but does not have the mineral rights to their property.
After deli beration the Comm ission nade a notion.
MOTION: (Rawley) to approve the rezoning of lots 42, 53, and 54 Sec 22 I&GN RR Co. Sun. A. 693 to Specific-Use Oil Well and related structures and recorrarend to Council. Second: R. Phillips Vote: Unanimous FOR MOTION CARRIED
