MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING
FRIENDSWOOD Pl.ANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
June 22, 1978
The Freindswood Planning and Zoning Comnission met in a Special Meeting on June 22, 1978 at 7:30 p.m., in the City Hall with the following members present:

With a quorum pr esent the following billiiness was transacted:
DECISION FOR REZONING REQUEST OF CONOCO
The Chairrran of the Comnission informed the public that all of the information, letters and data on the pipeline would be oontained in the recorrmendation to the Counc�e ..
Mr:>. Dennis Holt introduced Mr:>, Musgrove who reviewed the report of the PJJ HOC comnittee with the Corranission. The recoJTIJrendations were in agreement unanim::>usly with their comnittee. (cop ys of the report are on record with the city.)
Foll0wing the report the Comnission asked questions of the corrunittee, which were answered by Mr. Holt. The Comnission was informed of the following:
(1)Pearland had not been consulted on the Pipeline, (2) VillageGreen was satisfied with recornrrendation #1, (3) P & Z is to beinformed of future lines and what they carry. This would initiaterecommendation #4C. These lines would require a permit for anyvariance, therefore giving control of the products they carry.(4)The Corranittee agrees to a 4 1 covering of lines, due to theimpossibility of accessing the risk. 1':
1':However the Comnission agrees in orde r to avci>id problems in the future development of the area, the lines should be lowered to an adequate depth at the time of installation to avoid reconstruction.
After all questions of the Corrmission were answered, a motion was rrade.

MOTION: (Utley) That we accept the recoJI1Jrendation of tata NJ HOC pipeline corrunittee and further that it be our recorrnnendation to Council :in its or:in:inal text.-:: Second: Phillips Vote: Unanimous FDR MOTION CARRIED
*The Corranission also recoJI1Jrends that the Council require thepipeline be laid at a depth such that the developernnt cantake place without the necessity of lowering the l:ine.
