HomeMy WebLinkAboutP&Z Minutes 1979-11-01 RegularI u MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING FRIENDSWOOD PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION November 1, 1979 The Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commission met in a regular meeting on Thursday November 1, 1979 at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall with the following members present: T.Spears -ChairmanB.Wicklander -Vice ChairmanB.PhillipsG.CressD.HoltB.Wetzel With a quorum present and H. Rawley absent, the following items of business was considered: TED BOGREN -RANCHO VIEJO II (replat) The Rancho Viejo II plat has been reviewed in order to dedicate an easement to the Highway Department. MOTION: (Wetzel) to approve Rancho Viejo II as amended. Second: Cress Vote: UNANIMOUS FOR PILGRAMS POINT (revision) MOTION CARRIED Ted Bogren came before the Commission with a revision to Pilgram Point Subdivision. Only the street name has been changed. MOTION: (Wetzel) to approve Pilgrams Point as amended. Second: Phillips Vote: UNANIMOUS FOR MOTION CARRIED KENT BALLARD -LOT REVISION (Pilgrams Point) Mr. Ballard came before the Commission asking for a lot revision on lots 19 and 20 in the Pilgrams Point Subdivision. This would allow the proper frontage. MOTION: (Phillips) to approve Pilgrams Point Subdivision as amended. Second: Cress Vote: UNANIMOUSSFOR MOTION CARRIED I I J JIM GRIMSRUD -DUPLEXES Preston Kelly and James G. Williams both own property at the corner of Shadowbend and Laurel. At this time the property is zoned C-1. They are proposing to build a 21 unit apartment complex and are asking for rezoning to R-5. This request is to be discussed further at the next meeting of November 15, 1979. EAGLES POINT II Mr. Mitch Mitchell came before the Commission to discuss Eagles Point II Subdivision. The plans now show a 4.1% designated for parkland. The Commission also asked for the radius of the curve be checked entering FM 518. A motion was made for adjournment. The meeting adjourned at 9:50 p.m. �\� . ��./�y
