MINUTES OF A REGUlAR MEETING
FRIENDSWOOD PLANNING AND ZONING COL'1MISSION
September 6, 1979
The Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commission met in a regular �eting on Thursday September 6, 1979 at 7: 30 p.m. in the City Hall with the following members present:

With a quorum present and H. Rawley absent, the following items of business were considered:
CHURCH OF TIIE GOOD SHEPARD (add ition)
Plans for a new sanctuary were reviewed by the Corrmission with a seating capacity of 156 to be increased to 270 in the future. The plans show 33 parking spaces which to comply with the ordinance must be increased to 39. There is a problem with finances for the church, so the Corrmission agreed to the additional spaces being redlined and constructed with subbase.
MOTION: (Wetzel) to approve plans for the Church of the Good Shepard with the redlin ing of 6 ad ditional parking spaces. Second: Wicklander Vote: Unanimous FOR MOTION CARRIED
JIM NYE -OFFICE ADDITION ON WINDING WAY
Mr. Nye came before the Corrmission with a request for approval of a 700 square foot addition to his office bu ilding on Windi ng Way. After reviewing the plans the Corronission made a rrotion.
MOTION: (Wicklander) to approve the office addition on Winding Way. Second: Cress V0te: Unanirrous FOR MOTION CARRIED
ROBERT GRAHAM -FOREST BEND APARTMENTS (preliminary)
Mr. Graham asked for preliminary approval on the 118 unit apartment complex at Blackhawk and FM 528. The apartments are to be on 6.4 acres which constitutes a 17. 9 density. At this time there is a problem with the water from District #108.
MOTION: (Wetzel) preliminary approval of Forest Bend Apartments. Second: Holt Vote: UNANIMaJS FOR MOTION CARRIE.TI
RANCHO VIEJO II (final)
Plans for Rancho Viejo II were reviewed by the Commission. Approval has been given by the Drainage District. The covenants were presented.
MOTION: (Phillips) to approve for final on Rancho Viejo II contingent on approval of the eng ineer. Second: Wetzel Vote: UNANIMOUS FOR MOTION CARRIED
QUAKER VILLAGE (final)
Steve Jarnagan and Ted Bogren presented plans for Quaker Village for final. After reviewing the plans a motion was made.
MOTION: (Cress ) to approve Quaker Village for final contingent on (1) engineer's ap proval (2) covenants on sidewalks (3) limitation of drive on Clearview. Second: Wetzel Vote: UNAMOUS FOR MOTION CARRIED

rezone 5 acres out of the north cor ner of lot 1, Burgess Subdivision, Beatty, Seale and Forwood Survey #6, Galveston County, Texas from R-1 to Speci fic-Use C.P. S. Construction Center on October 4, 1979 at8:00 p.rn.Second: Holt
