MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING
FRIENDSWOOD PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
July 19, 1979
The Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commission met in a regular meeting on Thursday July 19, 1979 at 7:30 p.m. at the City Hall with the following members present:

With a quorum present the following items of business were considered: Vickie Black was also present.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES -Minutes of the July 5th meeting were approved as corrected.
HARRIS NUESENBLACK (Sunmeadow resident)
Mr. Nuesenblack questioned the Commission on the intentions for rezoning parts of the golf course at Sunmeadow. He asked that if this was planned that the Sunmeadow Approvement Association be made aware in order that they could be involved in opposition.
DON ROBERTS -DUNBAR TOWNHOMES (p�eliminary)
The Dunbar Townhomes now have the preliminary approval of the Drainage District. The Commission discussed the problem within the project concerning the placement and access to the dumpsters by the sanitation vehicles.
The Commission agreed upon a 60 1 curvature in the road for a turnaround. The fire department is to review the placements of the fire hydrants. These could be hooked up for emergency from a 6 m water main.
The Commission also discussed the construction of sidewalks along FM 518 and Dunbar Estates Drive. should be placed 2 1 outside the property line and wide.

MOTION: (Phillips) to approve Dunbar Townhomes for preliminary with a 60' curvature of the street for turnaround and 4' sidewalks along FM 518 and Dunbar Estates Drive. Second: Rawley Vote: Unanimous FOR MOTION CARRIED

INFORMATION FROM COUNCIL -At this time there is no word concerning the use of the golf course at Sunmeadow for residential development from the Mayor.
TED BOGREN -PINE GROVE ESTATES. ·(Preliminary)
Plans for a 5 lot subdivision on Greenbriar were presented for preliminary approval, each are to have 2.7 to 2.98 acres. At this time there are no water and sewer facilities available. These may possibly be supplied in the future from the development of Fegency Estates. These are to be depicted on the final plan.
MOTION: (Wicklander) Preliminary approval of Pine Grove Estates. Second: Wetzel Vote: Unanimous FOR MOTION CARRIED
QUAKER VILLAGE ( PreTimin·a:r-y)
Mr. Bogren presented preliminary plans for·duplexes and single family residences at Quaker Drive, Skyview, and Clearview on a 5.423 acre tract of land. The Commission asked for sidewalks throughout subdivision. Also, the covents to include the prohibiting of boats, motor homes, campers on turn-around pads and a 30' building line be required on Quaker only.
MOTION: (Wetzel) Preliminary approval of Quaker Village. Second: Rawley Vote: Unanimous FOR MOTION CARRIED
