FRIENDSWOOD PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
January 17, 1980
The Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commission met in a regular meeting on Thursday January 17, 1980 at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall with the following members present:

With a quorum present, the following items of business were considered.
JOHN JAMES -OFFICE AT WILLOWICK AND FM 518
The plans show a 30 foot setback on the building, sidewalks added· on FM 518 and Willowick, and an open drive on FM 518. Drainage has been approved, and a requested wall sign for the building will come back for approval.
The Commission is to check on the unrecorded plat to see if it can be sold seperately. They asked that lot lines be seen on the plat, also they asked to see the deed to the property. This item is to be placed on the agenda for February 7, 1980.
OATH OF OFFICE -Mayor Lowe gave the oath of office to Charles Beggs and Leon Brown.
STEVE JARNAGAN -BRIDGEZTONE
Mr. Jarnagan came before the Commission reuqesting an extension on the apartments on Blackhawk and FM 2351.

JAMES REESE -SUBDIVIDING A TRACT AT MURPHY & SUNSET
At the corner of Murphy and Sunset is a 5 acre tract that has been divided into two 2,98 acre tracts which has not been recorded. On the property is a single home. Following a discussion on Murphy Lane the Commission asked that a replat be done on the lot. Legal opion-whether a replat is needed on a subdivision annexed in 1973. The City Attorney is to be consulted.
H. K. SPECK -ADDITION TO BUSINESS AT 105 W. HERITAGE
The Commission reviewed the plans for an addition to his business located at 105 W. Heritage. The parking is ample.

LEON J . NAPOLE -SUBDIVIDING 2 LOTS ON GREENBRIAR SECTION IV
There are no deed restrictions in Greenbriar Subdivision which would rule out further subdivision. The short form application for re-plat is applicable to this situation per consultation with the City Attorney.
TED BOGREN -REZONING OF ACREAGE ACROSS FROM SUNMEADOW
Dr. Dawson, Dr. Avery, and Ted Bogren came in with a few more changes on the rezoning of Miracle Mile. (C-1 to C-2 and C-3) (buffer to complex)
Ted informed the Commission that 67 acres are located in League City (Parkland and some single family residence)
Cress presented a chart on how the density of the development could meet a 2.7 density. He also asked if the Doctor's could plat R-1 first, so the density could be locked in.
Dr. Avery wasn't satisfied with the 2.7 density but would agree to 3.5.
Bogren asked the Commission to decide on all of the changes they thought were necessary and present them to him and the doctors and they would see if they could live with the requests.
