MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF TH E FRIENDSWOOD
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
October 21, 1982
The Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commission met in a Regular Meeting on Thurs day, October 21, 1982, at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall. The fol lowing Commissioners werepresent.

With a qu orum present, and with Atc heson and Sheeran, absent. the following business was transacted.
MINUTES FO R APPROVAL
Minutes of a Regular Meeting of September 16, 1982 were approved as corrected.

Planning Commiss ion requested the rep lat be forwarded to the City En gineer for review.

Planning and Commiss�on invited the Committee to discuss with them the subject of utilities outs ide the City.

It is the recommendati on of the Planning and Zoning Commission that all applications fro extension of uti lities outside th e City limits be considered on a case-b y-case basis, and that the following criteria be estab lished as policy.
1.Development plans should be reviewed by thePlanning and Zoning for a recommendation toCouncil. The Planning and Zoning will considerthe land use, traffic, drainage, and other ar easof interest as ·they effedt our City.
2.No utilities should be extended to applicant ifit could restrict pr eient o� future developmentwithin the City and the ETJ.
3.Items of recommendatio n from the City Manageron interoffice cor res pondence (M&C 82-37) datedOctober 11, 1982.
4.Friendswood ETJ shall receiv e_pre ferentialtreatment.
The Planning and Zoning Commission called a Special Meeting for October 28, 1982, to discuss the report fro m the Architectural Guidelines Sub-Committee and several other unfinished items.

Zoning Ordinance setback changes in R-3. November 18, 1982.
