HomeMy WebLinkAboutP&Z Minutes 1982-12-02 Regularr-1 I l MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE FRIENDSW OOD PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSI ON December 2, 1982 A Regular Meeting of the Fri endswo od Planning and Zoning Commission was held at the City Hall on Thursday, December 2, 1982, at 7:30 p.m. with the follow ing members present. Cress -Chairman Miller. Beggs Brown Mayor Lowe administered the oath of office to Mary Brown as a new member of the Planning and Zoning Commission replacing Atcheson. With a quorum pre sent, and .with Sheeran absent, the fol lowingbusiness was transacted. JOINT PUBLIC HEARING -CHANGINE. SET BACK "REQUIREMENTS TN R-3 The public hearing was called to order at 8:00 p.m .. With very little discus�ion and no opposition the pub lic hearing was closed. The Planning and Zoning Commission requested a letter be written to the Council approving the recommended changes to the set back requirements in the R-3 of the zoning ordinance. ARCHITECTURAL GUIDELINES . SUB"-COMMITTEE The AGSC and the Planning Commission workshoped the AGSC report with several deletions and several items to be re-written and to return to the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting of December 16, 1982. The AGSC is presenting a list of items they think need immediate action at the Council meeting of December 13, 1982. The AGSC added 2 items the Planning Commission feel is also of importance. r··1 I ' ) I Page 2 Decem ber 2, 1982 1.Planning Commission to review all site plans . 2.To add an M-2 to the zoning ord inance. The Pl ann ing Commission supports all 16 items being recommended by the AGSC. JOINT PUBLIC HEARING The Planning and Zoning Commission ca lled a public hearing for January 6, 1983. The re quest is to rezone 4.6 acres located on F.M. 2351 acro ss fro� Red Top from R-1 to R-3 requested by Mrs. Whitmire. MUSTANG MEADOWS The Commission discussed Mr. Gordon's subdividing his 2.49 acres located on Fallingleaf. Mr. Cress had a copy of the deed restrictions of Must ang Meadows. Item 1. Said tract shall be used for resi dential purpos�s only. Only one single family dwelling may be constructed upon each tract as it was originally platted and recorded with the Ga lveston County Clerk; exceptions given for one bona fide servants quarters which may be attached or separate from residence.
