MINUTE$ OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE FRINEDSWOOD
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
Ja nuary 7, 1982
The Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commission met in a Regular meeting on Thursday, Ja nuary 7, 1982, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall. The following Commissioners were present.
Leon Brown -Chairman Glen Cress Billy Glines Ken Hoppe Charles Beggs Richard Atcheson Councilwoman -Mary Brown
With a quo rum present, and with Tom Sheeran absent, the following business was transacted:
READING AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES -Minutes of a Regular Meeting of December 3, 1981 by Ginger Bailey approved as read. Minutes of a Regular Meeting of December 17, 1981 approved as read.
Mrs. Louise Bacon spoke to commission in reference to her rezoning request. A joint public hearing was held on January 4, 1982 in which she requested to rezone lots 68,69 and 70 in Polly Ranch from R-1 to R-4. Mrs. Bacon told Commission that during the public hearing it was not mentioned that she is not actually a part of Polly Ranch and both sides of her property is already zoned R-4. Commission told her they would probably discuss it at their January 21, 1982 meeting.
Mr. Brad Weyandt presented his plat of Holquin Addition located between Mills and Murphy with the only access being off Sunset. Commission viewed plat and ask him to return to the January 21, 1982 meeting with the signed milar.

Mr. Hackeny presented a drawing of� 10,·acre tract of Lland to Commission. A joint public hearing was held on January 4, 1982 to rezone the land from R-1 to R-6 for one mobile home. He presented a drawing showing 100' by 150' of the 10 acres to be rezone d to R-6 instead of the 10 acres. Commission ask Mr. Hackney to return to the January 21, 1982 meeting for furth er discussion and their recommendation to Council.
The meeting was adjourned.

City Council and Planning & Zoning Commission will hold 2
joint public hearing on :-'.onday, Januarv 4 2 198t 7:45 atx&xruk p.m. in the Friendswood City Hall, 109 Willowick,
to consider a request to rezone a certain parcel of land
located at 703 Oak Drive
from R-1 classifi cation to R-4 ,
said land being within the City of Friendswood and being
more particularly describe d as follows:
Lots 68, 69, and 70 as they appear on· the original plat of Polly Ranch Estates
At said hearing all interested citizens shall have the right
and opportunity to appear and be heard on the subject.
PLEASE BE ADVISED that the above NOTICE does serve to cancel
and replace the hearing formerly set for December 14, 1981 for
consideration of rezoning this particular parcel of land.
