MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEET ING OF THE FR IENDSWOOD
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
February 18, 1982
The Friends wood Planning and Zoning Commission met in a Regular meeting on Thursday, February 18, 1982 , at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall. The follo wingCommissioners were present.

With a quorum present, and with none absent, the foll owing business was transacred:
READING AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES -Minutes of a Regul ar Meeting of February 4, 1982 app roved as corrected.
ARCHITECTURAL GUIDELINE SUB-COMMITTEE
The fo llowing members were present.

One of the ai ms of this committee is to aid our City to become a more unique and beautiful place in which to live. It is their wish to achieve this basic esthetic charcter without creati ng any undue hardships on our business comm unity. The Committee feels this can onl y be accomplished by input from all segments of our City in open and frank discussion as well as a complete research into how other Cities have accomplished these same charac teristics.

The Committee submitted a list of questions to be discussed and answered and returned to them. The same questions will be submitted to the other groups of Friendswood. When all the questions are answered and complied they will return to the Planning and Zoning Commission.
MR. TRAHAN AND MR. RALSON FROM THE U.S. CORPS OF ENGINEERS
Mr. Trahan addressed and discussed the Clear Creek Project. A typed transcript is attached to these minutes.
RE -DRAINAGE
After discussion the Planning and Zoning Com mission rescinded its motion from the meeting of February 4, 1982.
' MOTION: (G lines) Reconsider the motion of February 4, 1982: To recommend to Council that Ordinance 210 (subdivision) and Ordinance 304 (Flood Damage Prevention) be revised to provide controls in new development so that the water runoff rate after development not exceed the runoff rate before development.

LOWE-ROAD DEDICATION
Mr. Lowe presented a plat �o the Planning and Zonifig Commi ssion for dedication of Burke Lane. Commission ask Mr. Lowe to return with the plat sh owing the legal description of the section of the road being dedicated.
REZONING REQUEST -BACON
Mrs. Louise Bacon appe ared before the Planning and Zoning Commi ssion regarding her request of January 4, 1982 to rezone lots 68,69 and 70 in Pol ly Ranch from R-1 to R-4.
Mrs. Bacon told the Planning and Zoning Commi ssion she wo uld like to withdra w her request to rezone her property un til a later date.
The Commission by memorandum will forward this information to the City Council.
SPECIAL MEETING CALLED
A Special Meeting was called for Thursday, February 25, 1982 to further discuss their recom mendation to Council on Ordinance 210 Subdivision an d Ordinance 304 Flood Damage Prevention.
The meeting was adjourned
