MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE FRIENDSWOOD
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
July 7, 1983
A Regular Meeting of the Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commission was held at the City Hall on Thursd ay, July 7, 1983, at 7:30 p.m. with the following members present.
Cress-Chairman Hoppe Jones Beggs Vice Brown Miller
With a quorum present and with none absent, the following business was transacted.
MITCH MITCHELL -FINAL SUNSET ACRES
Mitch Mitchell presented a final plat of a 5 lot subdivision. The subdivision will be a partial replat of Sunset Acres, consisting of 5.271 acres located between Mills and Murphy. The plat was approved with the following conditions.
MOTION: (Jones) To give final approval contingent on the following.
1.Place on the face of the plat(THE-LOTS CAN NOT BE SUBDIVIDED)
2.Signature of the City Engineer
3.Signature of the Clear CreekDrainage District
SECOND: (Beggs)
VOTE: UNANIMOUS FOR
MOTION CARRIED

MITCH MITCHELL -PRE APP -F. M. 528 -COUGARS RUN
Mitch Mitchell presented a pre app of 135.29 acres now zoned Specific Use with a possible request to rezone to R-1. The development would be called Cougars Run. He proposes to develop 342 lots (90xl30) off F.M. 528.
THE PI NES
A plat of 3.2 acres zoned R-2 for 18 patio homes located on East Castlewood. The drawing indicated the use of 0 lot lines and R-2 use would not comply with Ordinance 291. The Commission recommended for O lot lines they rezone to R-3. A cul-de-sac was suggested instead of a 1T) at theend of the street.
FRIENDSHIP VILLAGE
A plat of 8.10 acres for 49 patio homes with the ingress, egress onto F.M. 2351. The Commission advised the developer the road would be within 6' of a day care center front door. They feel another location for the entrance is needed. The developers plans to return to the next Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.
SAN JOAQUIN PARKWAY -PRE APP
Dr. Dawson presented a plat of 453 lots located on either side of San Joaquin Parkway. The development consists of 99.11 acres zoned R-3. The corner lot set backs do not comply with the City Ordinance.
A special meeting for work shop was called for July 14, 1983.
The meeting was adjourned.
