MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE FRIENDSWOOD
PLA NNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
April 14, 1983
A Speci�l Meeting of the FriendBwood Planning and Zoning Commission was held at the City Hall on Thursday, April 14, 1983, at 7:30 p.m. with the following members present.
Cress -Chairm an Vice Beggs Miller Brown
Wi th a quorum present, and with Ken Hoppe absent, the following business was tran�acted.
HGAC -REPRESENT ATIVE.CARL WILLEFORD
Mr. Willeford met with the Planning and Zoning Commission for the purpose of discussing updating Friendswoo d's Comprehensive Plan. Mr. Willeford told the Commi ssion that HGA C would be glad to help in any way they could. Mr. Willeford gave the Commi ssion an outline on the Comprehensive Planni ng Process, a booklet on Land Development Planning and several plans from other Cities for information purposes.
LETTER -RECEIVED 4/13/83
The Commission rece ived a copy of Billy Gl ines resignation letter. Commission discussed possible recommendatio ns to Council for his replacement.

MOTION: Br own to send the names of Tom Sullivan and Bill Jones to Council for co nsictEration to replace the unexpired term of Billy Glines. The recommendations to be sent by letter to City Co uncil.

LETTER
A letter to be sent to Mr. Willeford of HGAC thanking him for his help and information by meeting with the Planning and Zoning Commissi on.
QUAKER VILLAGE -PRELIMINARY
Mrs. Hammersley presented a preliminary plat of Quaker Village. Quaker Village is loca ted on the corners of Skyview, Clearview and Quaker Drive. The Townhomes would consist of 32 ·units on 5.423 acres.
MOTION: Miller to give preliminary approval contingent on the following.
SECOND: Brown

REGENCY ESTATES
The request of Bill Jones to reconsider the approval of the entrance onto F.M. 528 from his townhomes as shown on the plat. The Commission checked with the Highway Department from a safety standpoint.
MOTION: Mille r to approve as shown on the plat, with the entrance off F.M. 528.
SEC OND: Vice VOTE: Unanimous FOR
The meeting was adjourned;
