MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEE TING OF THE FRIENDSWO OD
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
February 3, 1983
A Regular Meeting of the Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commission was held at the City Hall on Thursday, February 3, 1983, at 7:30 p.m. with the following members present.

With a quorum present, and with Bil ly Glines absent, the fol lowing business was ·transacted.
SERA PARK -PRE APP
A pre-app plat was presented to the Commis sion for review. The Commission discussed a possible change of the entrance off F.M. 518 which was shown about 1500' from Win ding Way. They believe the traffic ·flow could be a problem and felt that a consultation with the Police Department might be in order. The 900' cul-de-sac does not comply with the subdivision ordinance. No action can be taken until after the 3rd and final reading of the zoning ordinance change.
REQUEST FOR ZONING CHANGE -WESTFIELD 2· .·232· ACRES
A drawing of 2.232 acres was presented to the Commission requesting a zoning change from R-1 to R-3. The Commission advised them that they ne�ded to kno w if the acreage is one or two tracts of land before applying for a zoning change.
WALDEN POND ·-PRELIMINARY FINAL
A preliminary final plat was reviewed by the Com mission. No input from the Fire, Drainage or Engineer has been submitted to the Commission. After review, the Police Department indicated they would like to see a sidewalk down each side of Dunbar Drive for safety. The Commission also advised they would like to see the building and parking spaces numbered on the final plat.

A vote was taken by the Commission on the sidewalks for Dunbar Drive.
MOTION: (Brown) a sidewalk of 4 1 minimum down each side of Dunbar Drive.
SEC OND: (Hoppe)
VOTE: FOR: Brown, Hoppe and Cress
AGAINST: Miller and Beggs MOTION CARRIED
The Commi ssion told Mr. Gould they expected input from both the CCDD and Fire De part�ent by the next regular meeting as well as a review by Engineer Don Roberts.
LOCKRIDGE -WESTFIELD" AND" CLOVER
Mr. Lockridge owns a tract of land located 1/2 in Friendswood and 1/2 in Pearland. He is proposing to build a duplex on the County line. He would like to know the rest rictions on set backs from the co unty lines. Mr-, Cress advised Mr. Lockridge he would ch eck with the City Attorney on the legality of building on a county line.
