HomeMy WebLinkAboutP&Z Minutes 1984-03-15 RegularI MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE FRIENDSWOOD PLANNING AND ZONING COM MISSION March 15, 1984 A regular meeting of the Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commission was held at the City Hall on Thursday, March 15, 1984, at 7:30 p.m. with the following members present. Miller -Chairman Hoppe Jones Brown ( 8 : 3 0 ) Beggs Cress Holt With a quorum present and with none absent, the following business was transacted. REGENCY REPLAT (PARTIAL) The City of Friendswood exchanged property with Regency Estates for right-of-way on F.M. 528. The City of Friendswood gave Regency Estates 130' of park property along Hampton Court in exchange for a recreation site on Buckingham. Regency Estates gave the City a lot #11 at the end of Greenbriar. MOTION: (Hoppe) To give plat approval contingent on the signature of the City En gineer. SECOND: (Jones) VOTE: Unanimous FOR STRIP CENTER Roger Muller presented plans for located on Sunset and F.M. 528. like to see the drawings for the requesting to build. MOTION CARRIED a strip center for 5 stores, The Commission would also adjacent building they are I LI Page 2 March 15, 1984 The Commission also requested to see the type of landscaping they were planning on using for the center. MOTION: (Hoppe) To not accept the drawings as shown and for the developers to return with draw­ings showing the adjacent bu ilding. The property is one tract of land. SECOND: (Beggs) VOTE: Unanimous FOR FRIENDSHIP VILLAGE MOTION CARRIED Mr. Arndt and Mr. Benson presented plans for 49 townhomes located on F.M. 2351. They were advised to add guest parking and a 15' set back for abuting a different zone. REZONING REQUEST Mr. Leftler is requesting a zoning change for 10 acres located on F.M. 2351 for his boat storeage. The property is presently zoned R-1. The request is the Frong 300' to C-1 and the remaining 360' to M-1. The meeting was adjourn ed. /4;d, /. � _,
