HomeMy WebLinkAboutP&Z Minutes 1984-04-05 RegularlI MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE FRIENDSWOOD PLANNING AND ZONING CO MMISSION April 5, 1984 The Friendswood Planning and Zoning Com mission held a regular meeting on Thursday, April 5, 1984, at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Cha mbers. The following members were present. Miller -Chairman Jones Beg gs Cress Brown Holt With a quorum present and with Hoppe absent , the following business was transacted. STRIP CENTER -F. M. 528 M.Addington presented a drawing of a strip center and a Stopand Go Store on F.M. 528 on 2/3 acre of land. The Commissionadvised Mr. Addington the first step would be to subdivide thetract. The following to be provided. 1.Location of trash dumpsters2.Sidewalks on plat3.Re-plat4.Check for right-of-way on F.M. 528 for widening WALDEN POND SECTION IV -PRE-APP A pre-app plat of 6.454 acres zoned R-4 for 58 units of Townhomes was presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission. A recommendation was made for screening between the towhhomes and the R-1 homes. I I lI Page 2 April 5, 1984 GEMINI OAKS The Planning and Zoning Commission received a letter from City Engineer, Malcolm Collins (RE:HD-010) on Gemini Oaks with 6 items he said needed to be changed before his app roval could be given. Mr. O'Farrell told the Co mmission he would have the items taken care of and return to Mr. Collins for his review. NASA WOODS A request was submitted to accept 60' lots on 27 acres at F.M. 2351 and Sunset for construction of homes. TheCommission advised that this property is zoned R-1 whichrequires 90' lots. The developer was advised he couldapply for rezoning to R-1. The property is across thestreet from single family homes. FIELDCREST -PRE -APP Mr. O'Farrell presented a plat of 50 acres off Windingway and Leis ure Lane for 54-1/2 acre lots for R-1 single family homes. He was advised to return with a preliminary plat. The Planning and Zoning Commission called a public hearing for the proposed changes to the Zoning Ordinance for April 26, 1984. The meeting was adjourned. ./4:ldl� Ruth P. Henry -Sec
