MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE FRIENDSWOOD
PLAN NING AND ZONING COMMISSION
August 16, 1984
The Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commission held a regular meeting on Thursday, August 16, 1984, at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. The following members were prese nt.
Miller -Chairman Hoppe Jones Cress Beggs Holt Brown
With a quorum present and with none absent, the following business was transacted.
400 ACRES -MR. BOFYSIL
Ted Bogren presented a proposed rezoning of the Bofysil property on F.M. 528 which adjoins Falcon Ridge and San Joaquin. The proposal consisted of large tracts of R-4 and C-1. The Commission was in general disagreement with the proposal and expressed the sentiment that the proposal is not in character with the existing development. The proposed parkway was well received, although there was concern that there might never be sufficient demand to support a shopping center of the magnitude proposed. The Com missio n feels that development in this area of the City should adhere to the R-1 density.
PRELIMIN ARY -CHAPEL HILL
I The preliminary plat of Ch apel Hill .was withdrawn by the Engineer. It will be ready at a later date.

FINAL -FRIENDSW OOD VILLAGE -PREVIOUSLY AZALEA TRAILS
Greg Hall presented the final plat of Friendswood Village, stating the name has now been changed to Brentwood. There were no objections to the plat other than an objection to street location by Ken Hopp. The Eng ineer was instructed to get milars to be signed by the City Engineer.
RESPONSE TO TODD STE WARTS LETTER
An answer to the charges in Todd Stew arts letter was discussed and will be typed for the approval of the Commission members. Dennis Holt stated that he was not a member of the Commission when the revisions to the R-3 district in the Zoning Ordinance were made.
Commissioner, Beggs did not fe el the charges brought aga inst the Pl anning and Zoning Commission, collectively or individually deserved a formal response.
The meeting was adjourned.
