HomeMy WebLinkAboutP&Z Minutes 1984-11-01 Regular! l t I u MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE FRIENDSWOOD PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION November 1, 1984 The Friends wood Planning and Zoning Commission held a regular meeting on Thursday, November 1, 1984, at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. The following members were present. Miller -Chairman Hoppe Cress Jones Beggs Holt Brown ( 7 : 4 0 ) With a quorum present and none abse nt, the following business was transacted. CHAPEL HILL -PRELIMINARY A preliminary plat of Chapel Hill was presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission. Chapel Hill will be 11.8848 acres located on Merriwood consisting of 14 lots and one restricted reserve. A memo from the Fire Marshal requested the following items: 1.The street Oak Trail Lane be changed due to thecommon usage of Oak throughout the rest of theCity. 2.Fire hydrants be located 1) at the intersection ofMerriwood and Chapel Hill, either on lot 1 or 14.2)Oak Trail, lot 9. 3.The deed restrictions be written such that therestricted reserve at the end of Chapel Hill bemaintained by a specific person or entity. I l I I l Page 2 November 1, 1984 The Planning and Zoning Commission also received a memo from City Engineer, Malcolm Collins (memo HD-073) listing 12 items missing from the plat. A memo was received from the Clear Creek Drainage District indicating an intent for approval at their next meeting November 14, 1984. MOTION: (CRESS) To give preliminary ap proval contingent on the following: 1.City Engineer's list of12 items 2.Fire Hydrants 3.Street lights 4 . Sidew alks 5.Street name change SECOND: (JONES) VOTE: FOR: Cress, Beggs, Jones, Holt, Hoppe and Miller ABSTAINED: Brown RATRO SEGVIC -107 WEST WILLOWICK Mr. Segvic is requesting to build a Furniture Wholesale Warehouse to be located at 107 West Willowick. There is an existing house on the property he would like to remodel and use for an office and a dr�ve-in-bakery. The warehouse would be located behind the office and drive-in-bakery. MOTION: (HOLT) To recommend the issuance of a building permit , subject to meeting all the building regulations for that district. It was sug gested Exxon provide a map with the exact loc ations of the project locating all sturctures with distances and return to the next regular Planning and Zoning Commission meeting for further discussion. Exxon requested the Webster unit 3820 located between F.M. 2351 and Beamer be handled separately. The Planning and Zoning Commission advised Exxon they would make their recommendation to Council on this project at their November 15, 1984 meeting.
