HomeMy WebLinkAboutP&Z Minutes 1984-11-05 Joint Public Hearing w/ City CouncilI 1 I u MINUTES OF A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING FRIENDSWOOD PLANNING AND ZONING COM MISSION November 5, 1984 The Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Council held a joint public hearing on Monday, November 5, 1984, at 7:45 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. The following members were present. Miller -Chairman Jones Brown Hoppe Cress With a quorum present and with Beggs and Holt absent, the following business was transacted. Chairman, Ralph Miller called the public hearing to order. EXXON IS REQUESTING TO REZONE THE FOLLOWING FROM R-1 TO SPECIFIC USE 1.Convert Webster Field Unit 3820 to a saltwater injectionand install a saltwater injection pipeline. The location ofthis request is between F.M. 2351 and Beamer Road. Severalfrom the audience questioned the location of this project. 2.To drill Exxon's R.D. Haden Well Nos. 20,21 and 22, andto install the necessary pipeline to produce the well. Thelocation of this project would be in the Wilderness TrailsSubdivision. Mr. Arndt, Mr. Hester and Mr. Thrower allquestioned the location of this project. Mr. Arndt and Mr.Hester would like the project moved to the oil field in thearea, where wells 21 and 22 are located. They stated therequested location of well 20 would be only 300' from Mr.Hester's home. Mr. Thrower representing the owner of a 107acre tract for development in that area is interested in theaffect the project would have on the future development ofthe 107 acres. There was quite a difference in opinion onthe location of this project between the Exxon representatives
