MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE FRIENDSWOOD
PLANNING AND ZO NING COMMISSION
June 2, 1983
A Regular Meeting of the Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commissi on was held at the City Hall on Thursday, May 19, 1983, at 7:30 p.m. with the following members present.
Cress -Chairman Hoppe Vice Jones Brown Miller Beggs
With a quorum present and wi th none absent, the following business was transacted.
MARIAN WEST -REZONING REQUEST
Mr. West is requesting a rezoning change of 9.2 acres from C-1 to R-3. The property is located on Leisure Lane andWinding Way. The purpose of the request is to build townhomes. A joint public hearing has been called for June 13,1983.
REGENCY ESTATES -SECTION II -PRELIMINARY REPLAT
A plat of Regency Estates Section II was presented to the Planning and Zoning Com mission. The Commission advised the developer he needs to have the plat reviewed by the City Engineer, Clear Creek Drainage District, Fire Department and Police Department. They were also advised the land use schedule was incorrect and contour lines needed to be added. The developer should return to the next Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting.

SLONE SUBDIVISION -PA RTIAL REPLAT LOTS 117 AND 118
The Commission is requesting the owner dedicate a 15' road right -of-way for future street improvement.
MOTION: (Jones) To request dedication of 15' for future right-of-way.
SECOND: (Vice)
VOTE: FOR: Cress, Hoppe, Vice, Jone s, Miller and Brown
AGAI NST: Beggs
MOTION CARRIED
The Commission briefly discussed their meeting with the City Council on broa dening the City's tax ba se.
The meeting was adjourned.
