HomeMy WebLinkAboutP&Z Minutes 1988-03-03 RegularMINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE FRIENDSWOOD PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION March 3, 1988 The Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commission held a regular meeting on Thursday, March 3, 1988, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. The following Commissioners were present. Bill Todd - Vice Chairman Cress Hines Hansen Cress Duane Hengst - Community Development Director With a quorum present and Chairman Baker absent, the following items were considered. PRE APP-PARKWAY ADDITION J - IRISH GREEN OFFICE PARK David O'Farrell addressed the Commission regarding the PARKWAY REPLAT- TRACT F/located on F.M. 528 and zoned NC. The developer is proposing to subdivide Tract F into 2 lots. Duane Hengst, Community Development Director told Mr. O'Farrell the plat needed to show the entire tract F 4179.35k160) instead of 75x160'indicated on the pre-app plat. Another item for the final plat would be the legals on the adjoining property . Mr. Hengst told the Commission he would review the final plat before the final presentation to the Commission for compliance with the City ordinances. ZONE CLASSIFICATION REQUEST FOR CHANGE Mr. O'Farrell told the Commission that Mrs. Glines and Mr. Brown representing the Bales Estate have decided to request the following for a zone classification change: CSC TO SFR 7.2 Acres CSC TO DIC 3.9 acres Page 2 March 3, 1988 OUTSIDE THE FRIENDSWOOD CITY LIMITS FRIENDSWOOD METALS - DUANE HENGST - COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR Mr. Hengst addressed the Commission in reference to a letter from Friendswood Metals dated February 25, 1988: "Friendswood Metals is seeking permission to tie into Mr. Larry Eubanks of Eubanks Interest water lines and receive water services from the City of Friendswood." January 28, 1988 - Letter from Eubanks Investments to Pat Roberson of Friendswood Metals "Mr. Eubanks grants the right and licenses to tap into the water and sewer lines he installed in the Friendswood Business Park. (1-14" water out and a 4" sewer outlet)" Section 18-5 Friendswood Code - Application for connection of a private systems requires approval by the Planning and Zoning Commission before being submitted to City Council for final approval. The Commission will take action at the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting on March 17, 1988. The Item did not make the 72 hour posting deadline for action at this time. DUANE HENGST - COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT Presented drawing of Mc Donalds zoned OBD and Whataburger zoned CSC for review. The building permits,he told the Commission, have already been issued. After rPvirw the Commission has concerns about a real large tree which it was hoped could be saved on the'McDonald's site. The meeting was adjourned.
