THE FRIENDSVl"COD PLANNING AND ZONING Ca-1MISSION HELD A SPOCIAL MEETING ON MJNDAY, l\DVEMBER 6, 1989, AT 6:30 P.M. IN THE CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS. THE FOLLG'i'ING MEMBERS WERE PRESENT CONSTITUTING A QUORUM.

WITH A QUORUM PRESENT, HOLZSCHUH AND CHAIRMAN BAKER ABSEl\lT, THE FOI...LCWING ITEMS WERE CONSIDERED.
PUBLIC HEARING: Vice Chainnan McHugh called the public hearing to order for the purpose of receiving public input both oral and written on the following:
1.MAJOR THOROUGHFARE PLAN
No one in the audience spoke for or against the proposed adoption of the updated Major Thoroughfare Plan. Chainnan McHugh closed the portion of the meeting pertaining to the Major Thoroughfare Plan.
2.PROPOSED AMENDMENI'S TO THE ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 84-15, SEX:TION K.,SIGN REGULATIONS -ORDINANCE NO. 323
No one in the audience spoke for or against the proposed amendments to the Sign Ordinance.
Coomissioner Cress told the Carmission he would like to see language in the proposed ordinance to eliminate Portable Signs (Section 14). He also feels Temporary Signs (Section 15) is worded incorrectly. Corrrnissioner Wasson addressed the Corrrnission regarding( page 11 Section 15 A Temporary Sign) saying OPD should be OBD. Vice Chainnan McHugh requested the proposed amendments to the proposed sign ordinance be placed on the next regular meeting agenda for review by the Coomission.
The public hearing was closed.
