HomeMy WebLinkAboutP&Z Minutes 1988-06-16 Regular[ l l l MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE FRIENDSWOOD PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION June 16, 1988 The Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commission held a regular meeting on Thursday, June 16, 1988, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. The following Commissioners were present. Baker -Chairman Todd Ballard Holzschuh Cress With a quorum present and Hansen and Hines absent, the following business was transacted. Community Development Director Duane Hengst was absent from the meeting. Chairman Baker called the meeting to order. There were citize ns in attendance wanting to address two items not on the agenda. The items are as follows: (1)Zone Classification Change request from a public hearingheld June 13, 1988, SFR to NC -402 East Edgewood. (2)Zone Classification Change request from a public hearingheld June 13, 1988, SFR to NC -Oak and FM 518 Reserve LPolly Ranch. The Citizens in the audience addressed both items in oposition to the zone classification changes requested. Rustic Acres was on the agenda for final p.lat approval. Mr. Gartrell, the Engineer re presenting the proposed development, cancelled the item until the next regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission. Citizens in the audience residing in the Rustic Acre$ area addressed the Commission in opposition to the development until the present drainage is improved. ( I [ Page 2 June 16, 1988 The citizens of the Rustic Acres Area addressed the Commission saying they have an existing drainage concern without additional developmen� until the present drainage is resolved. MELODY ESTATES -FINAL PLAT Ted Bogren;.,Engineer representing the owner of the proposed developm ent,presented the final plat of Melody Estates to the Planning and Zoning Commission. Melody Estates is 9,394 acres subdivided into 5 lots and is located on Melody Lane. MOTION:(BALLARD) To grant final approval of the final plat Melody Estates, 9.394 acres subdivided into 9 lots. SECOND: (HOLZSCHUH) VOTE: FOR : UNANIMOUS AGAINST: NONE MOTION CARRIED PERRY GROVE SECTIONS II AN D III -FINAL PLAT Don Ro berts rep resenting the development of Perry Grove Section II and III,presented Section II first. Perry Grove Section II is 4.0408 acres subdivi ded into 5 lots which front on Spreading Oaks. Mr. Roberts told the Commission the location of the sewer would be in the front of the tract for easy access. Section IIIPerry Grove was presented to the Commission. The Commission had requested sidewalks along Cedarwood. Section III is 5.0704 acres subdivided into 5 lots and all lots front Cedarwood. MOTION : (CRESS) SECOND: (TODD) To grant approval of Perry Grove II and III aut�oriz ing _ Chair man Ba ker to signthe mylar after the following items have been completed and reviewed by the City Engineer. Section II -Sewer Change to the front of tract. Section III -Sidewalk as homes are built, and utility access easement To be noted on plat. VOTE: FOR: UNANIMOUS AGAINST: NONE MOTION CARRIED [ l I l l Page 3 June 16, 1988 POLLY RANCH -RESERVE A -PRE APP David O' Farrell addressed the Planning and Zoning Commission in regard to Reserve A-Polly Ranch 16acres sub divided into 11 lots.
