MINUTES OF A MEETING
FRIENDSWOOD BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS
March 24, 1981
The Friendswood Board of Adjustments met in a regular
meeting on Tuesday March 24, 1981 at 7:30 p.m. in the
Public Works Building, with the following members present:
B. Foster - Chairman
R. Nelson
H. Whitaker
H. Taylor
W. Dykes
With a quorum present, the following request was
considered:
MR. DONALD EVANS - Side setback varinace at 1812 Hunt.
Mr. Evans came before the board requesting a 5' side set-
back variance for his garage at 1812 Hunt. He has the
approval of the Architectural Committee of Eagles Point
Subdivision. The variance would give him a savings of
$1,200 on concrete, extra security to the home, and more
open area for the backyard.
The Board Discussed the request and the possibility of
building the house 2 1/2 feet toward the opposite side
property line. After discussing a motion was made.
MOTION: (Dykes) to grant a 2 1/2 foot setback
variance on each side. If the house at the
left side is 12 feet or more from the property
line.
Second: Whitaker
Vote: UNANIMOUS FOR MOTION CARRIED
A motion was made for adjournment. The meeting adjourned
at 7:32 p.m.
