IN THE CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS. THE FOIJ.a'ilING MEMBERS WERE PRESENT: BAKER -CHAIRMANFINGER RODGERS WASSON FRANKOVICH -LIAISON 1.CALL TO ORDER THOMPSON -CITY ENGINEER HENRY -DEVELOPMENT COORDINATORBRINKMAN -SOCRETARY WITH A QUORUM PRESENT, COLBURN, KONCABA, AND McHUGH ABSENT, CHAIRMAN BAKER CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AND WELCCMED THE MEMBERS OF PI.ANNINGAND ZONING CXM-1ISSION FOR '!'HE CITY OF PEARLAND. THOSE MEMBERS REPRESENTING PEARLAND WERE - AL LENTZ, HELEN BECKMAN, DICK QUATRAN,MARY STARR, LEROY SAVOIE, AND JAMES GARDNER, 2.CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING THE PROPOSED AMENCT-1ENT OF SUBSOCTION K OF SOCTION 8 OF ORDINANCE 84-15 (SIGN REGULATIONS). CHAIRMAN BAKER STATED HIS OPINION THAT THE PROPOSED SIGN ORDINANCEWAS IN THE BEST IN'l1EREST OF THE CITY OF FRIENDffi\tx)D AND EXPRESSED NO DESIRE TO FURTHER CHANGE THE DOCUMENT. THE alvlMISSION AGREED WITH CHAIRMAN BAKER AND THE CXM-1ISSION VOI'ED UNANWiOUSLY TO AI.liM THE SIGN ORDINANCE TO PASS AS CONFIRMED BYCI'I'Y COUNCIL. 3.REVIEW AND DISCUSSION WITH THE PEARIAND PLANNING & ZONING CTlMMISSION REGARDING THE MAJOR THOROUGHFARE PLAN, Ul'ILITIES, ANDarHER CONSIDERATIONS PERTINENT TO CCM-ON DEVELOPMENT ON THE FRIENDSWOOD/PEARLAND BOUNDARIES. 'l'HE 'M) CXM-1ISSIONS REVIEWED THE MAJOR THOROUGHFARE PLAN FORFRIENDSWOOD AND COMPARED IT TO THAT OF PEARIAND. DISCUSSION FOLLOWED REGARDING BUILDING CODES, IMPACT FEES, DRAINAGE PROBLEMS,A MASTER DRAINAGE PIAN, ZONING PROCEDURES FOR ZONE CLASSIFICATION CHANGE REQUEST, AND STREN.r PROJOCTS. THE ZONING ORDINANCES WERE DISCUSSED REGARDING Im SIZE REQUIREMENTS OF THE 'IWO CITIES FOR SFR (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL). ADDITIONAL C0.'1MENTS WERE MADE REFERENCING THE FILING AND ENFORCEMENT OF DEED RESTRICTIONS WITHREGARD TO CITY LIABILITY. CHAIRMAN BAKER CCMMENTED THAT THE MEETING HAD BEEN PRODUCTIVE AND¼DUlD ENCOURAGE ANOTHER MEETING AT Sa.1E LATER DATE. MEMBERS OF BOI'H CQ.\1MISSIONS AGREED.
