Called to order: Call meeting to order 6:13pm 2. Communications from the public: Casabella Pyrotechnics, been doing pyrotechnics for 21 years. He showed the committee his product and would love to do a show in Friendswood. The company has shows on YouTube as well. It’s a wired system hooked up thru a laptop. Crew of 6 works with him. James stated we signed a contract for the Santa in the Park event with Pyrotechnico. 3. Discussion and possible action regarding October 18, 2017 minutes: Stacy made a motion to approve the minutes as presented, Barbara second the motion and the motion was passed unanimously. 4. Discussion and possible action regarding the 2018, 4th of July 2018 A. Parade-Grand Marshal and Theme: Stacy made a motion to approve Friendswood Strong as the theme, Barbara seconded the motion and the motion was approved unanimously. B. Day Program: Kathy made a motion to have the Grand Marshal for all first responders walking in the front of the parade, Barbara second the motion and it was approved unanimously. Use a DJ, not a band, stick inflatables under the trees. C. Evening-Evening Entertainment: China Town has been signed as our evening entertainment, committee would like Spazmatics for next year. Barbara will reserve the RV for the band. Kathy make a motion that Terry, Judy and Corey the nonparticipating 4th of July committee members be moved to a volunteer’s status due to the issue we have making a quorum, Michelle second the motion and the motion was approved unanimously. Tommy made a motion to add Stefanie Karacostas to the committee, Kathy seconded the motion and the motion was approved unanimously. Tommy asked James if we need more fencing. Michael made the suggestion to move the evening transportation from Clear Brook to Friendswood Methodist Church, committee agreed and Michael will contact the church. 5.
