HEW ON MONDAY, JUNE 5, 1995, AT 7: 00 P .M. IN THE CITY HALL COUNCIL

WITH A QUORUM PRESENT, WASSON HAVING RESIGNED AND DICI<SON AND FINGER
ABSENT, CHAIRMAN BAKER OPENED THE rxx::I<ETED JOINT PUBLIC HEARING TO
RECEIVE PUBLIC IlTPUT, EITHER ORAL OR WRITI'EN, REGARDING THE FOLLCWING:
A ZONE CLASSIFICATION CHANGE REQUEST OF CSC ( CCMMUNITY SHOPPING CENTER
DISTRICT) 'IO OP (OFFICE PARK DISTRICT) FOR • 529 ACRES OF LAND, BEING A
PARI' OF RESERVE 11 C 11 OF CASTLEWOOD PARK SUBDIVISION ALSO KNCWN AS 902 S.
FRIENDSWOOD DRIVE.
TQ.'1 BURKE, CWNER OF THE PROPERTY, STATED THAT THE EXISTING BUiillING,
HAD BEEN USED FOR OFFICE SPACE FOR THE LAST 7 'IO 8 YEARS. BURKE
ADVISED THE CCM-1ISSION AND COUNCIL IF A ZONE CHANGE WAS APPROVED, HE
WOUill BE ABLE 'IO ADD ADDITIONAL OFFICE SPACE AND WOUill BE PERMITTED 'IO
HAVE A CAREl'AKER' S QUARI'ERS ON PREMISES. THERE WAS NO CCM-1ENT FRCM THE
PUBLIC EITHER FOR OR AGAINST THE ZONE CHANGE REQUEST.
THE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL ASKED QUESTIONS REGARDING THE
LCCATION OF THE NEW BUiillING, SECOND FLOOR USAGE, AND PARKING. BURKE
REPLIED THAT A NEW BUiillING IS PROPOSED AND WILL BE CONSTRUCTED ON THE
SITE OF HIS S'I'ORAGE BUILDING (BEHIND THE EXISTING STRUCTURE) • THE
SECOND FLOOR WILL BE LIVING QUARI'ERS FOR THE CAREI'AKER. AT PRESENT,
THE PARKING OOES Nor MEET THE REQUIREMENT OF A CSC ZONE.
WITH NO FURTHER CCMMENT, THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED AND THE MEEI'ING ADJOURNED.
