REGULAR MEETING
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
NOVEMBER 16, 1995
A REGULAR MEETING OF THE FRIENDSWOOD PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION WAS HELD ON
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 16, AT 7:00 P.M. IN THE CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS LOCATED AT 910 S.
FRIENDSWOOD DRIVE, FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS. THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS WERE PRESENT:
BAKER
CRESS
DICKSON
FINGER
WHITTENBURG
McHUGH
HENRY -DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
BRINKMAN -SECRETARY
HOOVER -CITY PLANNER
WITH A QUORUM PRESENT AND NONE ABSENT, CHAIRMAN BAKER CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER
ASKING FOR COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC FOR THOSE ITEMS WHICH DID NOT APPEAR ON
THE AGENDA HAVING NONE, THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WERE CONSIDERED:
1.PRE-APP FOR MOSS LAKE SUBDIVISION, A PATIO HOME DEVELOPMENT TO BE LOCATED ON
FM 518, ACROSS FROM ANNALEA.
2.
THIS ITEM WAS WITHDRAWN BY THE DEVELOPER.
CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING THE AMENDING PLAT OF LOTS 4, 5, & 6 OF
BLOCK 8, AMENDING PLAT OF THE FINAL PLAT OF BOCA RATON SECTION TWO.
JIMMY THOMPSON FROM LENTZ ENGINEERING EXPLAINED THE PURPOSE OF REPLATTING THIS
PIECE OF PROPERTY, EXPLAINING THAT TWO OF THE SURVEY BEARINGS WERE INCORRECT.
COMMISSIONER McHUGH MADE A MOTION TO APPROVE THE AMENDING PLAT OF BOCA RATON
SECTION TWO.
SECOND: DICKSON
VOTE FOR: UNANIMOUS
OPPOSED: NONE MOTION CARRIED
3.CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING THE PRELIMINARY PLAT OF THE BEDFORD

THE COMMISSION REVIEWED THE PRELIMINARY PLAT OF THE BEDFORD, DISCUSSING FIRE
PASSAGES. COMMISSIONER CRESS MADE A MOTION THAT THE PRELIMINARY PLAT OF THE
BEDFORD BE APPROVED CONTINGENT UPON THE DEVELOPER PROVIDING ANOTHER ENTRANCE
OR BREAKAWAY GATE FOR EMERGENCIES.
SECOND: DICKSON
VOTE FOR: UNANIMOUS
OPPOSED: NONE MOTION CARRIED
4.CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING THE FINAL PLAT OF SHEAR PLEASURE
SUBDIVISION.
THIS ITEM WAS WITHDRAWN BY THE DEVELOPER.

HOOVER COMMENTED THAT THE BEDFORD WAS A GOOD EXAMPLE OF WHAT A TREE SURVEY COULD DO FOR THE CITY.
THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN WAS DISCUSSED.
WITH NO FURTHER COMMENT, THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED.
