HomeMy WebLinkAboutP&Z Minutes 1997-12-01 Special-l l Minutes of a Special Meeting of the Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commission December 1, 1997 A special meeting of the Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commission was held Monday, December 1, 1997, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers located at 910 S. Friendswood Drive in Friendswood, Texas. The following members were present: Finger McVeigh Grace Burke Clark Cox -City Manager Hodge -City Engineer Lamb -Secretary Measeles -Council Liaison With a quorum present, Eubanks having resigned and Storey absent, Chair Finger called the meeting to order and opened the docketed joint public hearing to receive public input, either oral or written, regarding the following: A Request for a Specific Use Permit for a Church (SP-Church) in a Multi-Family Residential Dwelling District -Low Density Zone (MFR-L) - 4.4061 acres at Winding Way and FM 528. 8. Tom Liston spoke on behalf of the church which is currently located in Webster. Mr. Liston explained the site plan of the church building and parking area. No one spoke in opposition to the request. Request for a Specific Use Permit for residential (SUP-Office/ Residential) in a Planned Unit Development (PUD) -.6365 acres, Melody Plaza I. Peter Gherman presented the proposed plan for a residential dwelling in the PUD development. There was citizen concern about a proposed driveway on the property which would abut several homes in the Orchard Subdivision as well as questions about the fencing between this property and the adjacent homeowners. C.A Zone Classification Change request from Multi-Family Residential Dwelling District -Garden Homes (MFR-GHD) to Single Family Residential (SFR) for 3.82 ACRES of land in the 500 block of E. Parkwood Drive. This property belongs to the Lowe Family Trust and was slated to become part of the Parkwood Garden Home Community. Instead, it will remain with the Lowe family for their use.
