HomeMy WebLinkAboutP&Z Minutes 1999-09-02 RegularI l l l Minutes of a Regular Meeting of the Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commission September 2, 1999 A regular meeting of the Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commission was held Thursday, September 2, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers located at 910 S. Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, Texas. The following members were present: Finger Mcveigh Bertrand Burke Frankovich Clark Benthul Mickelson -City Attorney Hodge -City Engineer Henry -Development Coordinator Lamb -Secretary Measeles -Council Liaison 1.Docketed joint public hearing: A.A zone classification change request from Community Shopping Center (CSC) to Office Park (OP) for property located at 214 East Edgewood (fm 2351 ), 0.45454 acres out of lot 20, Hoidale and Coffman Subdivision, Galveston county, Texas. B. No one spoke for the proposal and none spoke in opposition. A request for a Specific Use Permit -Telephone Answering Service for property located at 307 S. Friendswood Drive, Building F, Friendswood Condo-Office Park, Galveston County, Texas. There was one who spoke in favor for the proposal, none in opposition. C.Proposal to extend the boundaries of the current Entryway Overlay District (EOD) to include the section of FM 518 from FM 528 to Coward's Creek. Questions were raised regarding the boundaries; however, none spoke in opposition to the proposal. One person spoke in favor. D.Proposing a new Downtown Overlay District (DOD) regulations and boundaries for the area of F.M. 518 between Coward's Creek and FM 2351. One person raised a question regarding the regulations, one spoke in favor of the proposal, none in opposition. E.Requesting amendments to the Zoning Ordinances 84-15, Residential/Commercial Regulation Matrix for setback requirements. No one spoke, either for or against the proposed amendment. With no further questions, the docketed joint public hearing was closed. f 1 [ l l P&Z 9/2/99 Page2 Chair Finger opened the public hearing of the Commission to receive comment on the Final plat of the replat of Lot 2, Liberty Tree Estates (2 lots). No one spoke in favor and none were opposed. The public hearing was closed. 3.Minutes -August 26, 1999 -approved as read. Motion: Second: Vote for: Benthul -to recommend approval Bertrand Unanimous Motion Carried 6.Consideration and possible action regarding the Final plat of the Replat of Lot 2, Liberty Tree Estates (2 lots) Motion: Benthul -to approve Second: Bertrand Vote for: Unanimous Motion Carried 7.Preliminary Plat of The Lake At San Joaquin• This item was withdrawn by the petitioner. 8.Final plat of Salinas village. Motion: McVeigh -to approve. Second: Benthul Vote for: Unanimous Motion Carried 9.Amending the Final Plat of Windsor Estates Section 2 - 10. Motion: McVeigh -to approve. Second: Clark Vote for: Unanimous Motion Carried Final plat of The Forest Section 6. Motion: Bertrand -to approve Second: Benthul Vote for: Unanimous Motion Carried 11.Consideration and possible action / recommendation regarding the Park Dedication [ 12. I J Ordinance.
