HomeMy WebLinkAboutP&Z Minutes 1998-05-07 RegularL I �( Minutes of a Regular Meeting of the Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commission May 7, 1998 A regular meeting of the Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commission was held Thursday, May 7, 1998, at 7:00 p.m. in the city hall council chambers located at 910 S. Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, Texas. The following members were present: Finger -Chair Burke Bertrand Mcveigh Grace Benthul Hodge -City Engineer Henry -Development Coordinator Lamb -Secretary Measeles -Council Liaison Mickelson -City Attorney With a quorum present, Clark absent, Finger called the meeting to order to consider the following: 1.Communications from the public -None 2.Pre-app site plan for Sno Beach of Houston (sno cone trailer) at 600 S. Friendswood Drive. 3. There were questions regarding wheel chair accessibility, restroom facilities, tie-downs of trailer frame, site plan requirements, zoning compliance, compliance with building code (not a P&Z issue) and other issues that must be resolved prior to approval. Pre-app plat for Falling Leaf Estates -20 lots to be located between Linson Lane and Fence Post. Tom Offenberger presented the pre-app. Questions were asked with reference to drainage and fire protection. The developer will have to provide a lift station. 4.The preliminary plat of the Forest Section 3. Provide sidewalks on Woodland Trails and on Autumn Wood. Motion: Second: Vote for: Bertrand -to approve Grace Unanimous Motion carried 5.Final plat of Friendswood Independent School District Intermediate School -located on FM 528 between Cypress Point Drive and Windsong Lane. This item was withdrawn by the developer. 6.Recommendation to City Council regarding an amendment to the Subdivision Ordinance 85-19 to provide guidelines and procedures allowing the Planning and Zoning Commission to modify the subdivision regulations. 7. Motion: Second: Vote for: Benthul to approve Burke Unanimous Communications from: Motion carried A.Staff -there will be a meeting with the Clear Creek Drainage District on May 19, 1998. ! ( l P&Z 5/7/98 Page 2 B. C. The Community Facilities, Utilities and Drainage sections of the Comprehensive plan have been forwarded to City Council for their review. Council liaison -none Commissioners -Commissioner Bertrand questioned the new development in Heritage Park and how it will effect Friendswood residents.
