Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, Texas. The following members were present: Bob Bertrand Tom Burke ·David Brakebill Jim Gibson Kevin Holland Diana Steelquist -Staff Planner With a quorum present, Y eretsky and Brekke absent, · Chairman Bertrand called the meeting to order to consider the following: · ' · · • : · '-,i • • Docketed Joint Public Hearing: 1.To receive public input, either oral or written regarding the follow ing: A.Specific Use Permit change for .3857 acres located at 402 E. Edgewood (FM 2351) to amend Specific Use Permit (SUP) #2000-7 to SUP­ Professional Office, Medical, Dental, Optometry. David Offenburger, applicant, addressed the Commission and Council. Mr. Offenburger has a doctor of optometry who would like to lease the premises. His current SUP does not pe�t this use. Bill Landoe, 106 Royal Court, spoke in favor of the request. He stated this type of use was excellent for this area, which is a transitional area between residential and commercial. No one spoke in opposition to the request. B.Specific Use Permit change for property located at 300-320 · E. Edgewood, Lots 2 and 3, Block 1, Melody Plaza Subdivision, to amend Specific Use Permit to SW-Mixed Commercial. David O'Farrell, the applicant, addressed the Comm_ission and Council. The. locati (?n has had an SUP for about eight years. He has a tenant that would like to open an exercise studio but that use is not currently allowed. Rather than make additional requests in the future, he rr.iodeled this request on the Coward Creek Office park list of SUP uses. Page 1 of 2 12/15/03 P &Z I 2. Bill Landoe, 106 Royal Court, spoke in favor of the request. He stated he was somewhat concerned with use #71 Arts, Entertainment and Recreation. He did not see that use under the SIC codes and some uses that are pe rmitted under that number may not be acceptable. Chairman Bertrand noted that the SIC codes he looked at may be outda ted.
