HomeMy WebLinkAboutP&Z Minutes 2000-11-06 Regularl l I [ Minutes of a Special Meeting of the Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commission November 6, 2000 A special meeting of the Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commission was held Monday November 6, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers located at 910 S. Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, Texas. Tom Burke Mike Dominguez -City Planner Linda Collins -CDD Secretary Mark Clark Zekie Mc Veigh Frank Frankovich Tom Samson Bob Bertrand With a quorum present, Neils Aalund absent, the meeting was called to order by Chair Burke who then opened the portion of the docketed joint public hearing to consider the following: To receive comments from the public both oral and written, regarding the following: l.For a zone classification change from Single Family-Residential (SFR) to Planned Unit Development (PUD) in Timber Creek Village for a 14.899 acre tract of land at the end of Woodland Trail in Tue Forest Subdivision, Lots 53, 54, and 55, Galveston County. The developer, Dan Rucker, of 1100 Nasa Road 1, Ste. 402, addressed the council and the commission. He described their plans for the development and why they were making the request. There were no comments for or against from Council or the Public. 2.A Specific Use Permit (SUP)-Gated Community/Private Road in Timber Creek Village for a 14.899 acre tract of land at the end of Woodland Trail in The Forest Subdivision, Lots 53, 54, and 55, Galveston County. 3. Dan Rucker addressed the council and the commission. There were no commentsfor or against from the public or Council. A zone classification change from Industrial District (I) to Planned Unit Development (PUP), 0.894 acres more or less out of Division "E" of Lot 63, at the end of Hope Village Road in Timber Creek Golf Club, Galveston And Harris County. 1 11/06/00 P&Z :'"' Dan Rucker spoke concerning this item, explaining the zone change was needed so food and drink can be sold. There were no comments for or against from the public or Council. 4.A specific use permit (SUP) -club house/restaurant/pro shop/retail, 0.894 acres more or less out of Division "E" of Lot 63, at the end of Hope Village Road in Timber Creek Golf Club, Galveston And Harris County. There were no comments for or against from the public or Council. 5.For a zone classification change from Office Park District (OPD) To Planned Unit Development (PUD) for Cowards Creek Office Park located at 1100 block of S. Friendswood Drive, 4.733 acre tract, Galve ston County. George Bergmann, 1100 Block of S. Friendswood Dr., addressed the council and commission. There were no comments for or against from the public or Council. 6.A specific use permit (SUP) -mixed use commercial for Cowards Cr eek Office Park located at 1100 block of S. Friendsw ood Drive, 4.733 acre tract, Galveston County. George Bergmann, 1100 Block of S. Friendswood Dr., addressed the council and commission. There were no comments for or against from the pub lic or Council.
