The meeting -was -called to , order and•'the minutes- from 'the
meeting of 'Aug. 2, 107 wereread and approved. All members were
present. It was decided` that, each member would report'.on the
sections of the Charter- in. the light, of I .. proposed changes
and_ 2. propose.d,_ r'be6menda.tions,'- to Council- to enforce :existing
provisions.
Dick' Atcheson: reported :on Sections" .2 .and8. he found one typo-
graphical error. lie suggested a change to Sec. 2.06• and indicated ,
interest in changing the sections regarding 1 . filling vacancies .1 " .

.:date ): and, 2. prohibiting City . employees .from .participating as
members • of City.. Committees,
G. Baker: reported on Sections 3 - and 6. These two sections
cover the CitylCbuncil and Eiections,'A lengthy discussion was
' had and it .was decided that, some changes are possible but. the
t decision as to what -is to be,.changed will have. to come at a
later -date after we have' had input from the -Council, -City Manager,
City Secretary,, . arid City -Atty.
J. James : reported on -Sections 9 and 11 . He offered 'no changes
to Sec. lt and will rec'6minend,L on. Sec. 9" at the next, workshop. "
R. Sommers: reported on Sections ,-4- and 7. ,He ' suggested changes
to Sec. 4. oi A., C. ;D-2, E. "Sec.7. 03,:.A,B,D. 'and he had numerous
suggestion for -revision of ;the ' Charter revisions of . 1'97¢..
Lengthy discussion was. had on each of LZr.. Somers suggestions.
