Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the. Zoning Board of
Adjustment. of the City of Friendswood which was held at. City
Hall May 25, 1993 with. the following: members present.
constituting- a quorum:

City Planner David Hoover

Chairman. Taylor called the meeting- to order at. 7:02 p.m.. .
Chairman. Taylor called the Public. Hearing to order to
receive public input regarding: request on seeking variance
at 16906 Bogainvilla Lane, Lot a,. Block 25, Section. 1,
Forest Bend Subdivision, for side set back. of 5 (instead. of
• required 10' ) for room addition.
Zoning Ordinance. 84-15, Section 7, Q.2. .
Discussion followed, with. contractor, Mr. A. Migues, and
owners, Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Ellis explaining the hardship.
on. undersized-. lot.
No further input was received, from the. public..
Chairman Taylor called the Public Hearing to order to'
receive public input regarding request on. seeking- variance
at 2120 San Joaquin Parkway, Lot 15, Block 1, Section. 1, San.
Joaquin Estates Subdivision for fence to be erected beyond
required front yard. line.
Zoning Ordinance. 84-15, Section. B.B. .
Discussion followed, owners, Mr. and Mrs. Darrell. Lacy
explained their hardship as needing a noise barrier and to
help prevent vandalism.
No further input was received from the public..
Chairman. Taylor called. the Public. Hearing to order to
receive public input regarding request on. variance. at 701.
Tropicana Court, Lot 17, Block 1, Section 2, Sunset Meadow
Estates. Subdivision, for extending fence on side yard past.
20' side building line to front yard on corner lot.
Zoning. Ordinance 84-15, Secti.on. 8.B. .
Discussion . . followed, with owners: Mr. and Mrs.. Jim
Prestigiacomo explaining their hardship as having: to build.
a fence around the fish pond they would like to install. A
letter was submitted. by Sherry Tucker and Doug. Tucker
opposing becaa1:se of a possible safety hazard ( letter is.
attached to the. minutes) .
No further public input was received.
Hearing no further input the. Public Hearing was Closed.
*Ann Talbot made the motion to grant the variance at 16906
Bogainvilla, Lot 8, Block 15, Section. 1, Forest Bend.
Subdivision, for side set back of 5' (instead of required
10' ) for room addition.

and. City Planner, David Hoover work . toward changes to
the Zoning. Ordinance: 84-15 on smaller lots in the city.
Owners Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Lacy, Jr. agreed to table
request.
*Hal Taylor requested.. the variance at 701 Tropicana Court,
Lot 27, Block. 1,. Section 2, Sunset.. Meadow Estates
Subdivision be tabled until the Planning and Zoning staff
and. City Planner, David Hoover work toward changes to the.
Zoning Ordinance 84-15 on smaller lots in the city.
Owners, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Prestigiacomo agreed to table
request.
*Consideration and possible action regarding approval of.
the minutes from the April 27, 1993 meeting to be
considered at. the June. 22, 1993 meeting:..
*Motion was made and approved to adjours. at. 8:09 p.m.. .
