�RIENDSWOOD PLANNIN§ COMMISSION (FPC)
ME ETING OF OCTOBER 7, 1968
Present: Dean Saurenman, Chairman Tony Banfield Tom Grace
BUSINESS IT6MS:
l.A discussion with "Red" Bost and Jim Kennedy on proposal subdivisionat Sunset and Old Alvin Road. Suggested changes were noted. Bostagreed that corrections would be made before submittal of the official "Prelimin ary Plat".
2.Review of Bovay material resumed from where it was discontinued theprevious meetin g.
·3. A draft of Zoning (land use) was discussed. It had been updated toshow additional commercial at 518/528 intersection and also Buck Hausman's strip above the Stop-N-Go. Mr. Dickson agreed to also consider further a light industry area close to the present business district. Also the Wolf's Den and Bales" Nursery area must be shown as commercial.
4.Mr. Barr stated that he had made corrections to the boundary lineson the north end of town and that sewer line errors on the drawingswere a result of the indications coming off the architectural work.Water lines will be checked further, but all material available hadbeen throughly utilized.
5.A review of proposals and interview with participants has resultedin a recommendation by the Planning Commission of Clovis Heimsath,!nc. for an Architectural and Landscape Plan for Friendswood.
A contract should be drawn for approval by Mr. Heimsath, Chairman of the Planning Commission and the Mayor. The contract will run for approximately three months.
6.The Friendswood Planning Commission voted to grant a leave ofabsence to Mr. J. Van Bockel until Febraary l, 1969.
7.Apartment plan submitted by Mr. Tony Banfield was approved as meeting all terms of City Ordinances for issuance of a building permit.
