PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES
The regular meeting of the Friendswood Planning Commission was held on March 11, 1968, and was attended by:
T. J. Grace Tony Banfield Dean Saurenman John VanBockel
Also from Bovay Engineers were:
Charley Schaefer Harold A. Barr
The Phase I report of the Bovay Engineers was discussed in detail. A list of questions generated prior to the meeting is attached. The major point discussed was the proposed major arteries (Castlewood and Greenbrair) on the circulation map. There are three points of concern:
1.Right-of-way on Castlewood.
2.The increase in traffic and congestion causedby the streets going through.
3.Difficulty caused by bridging Clear Creek ona turn as shown.
However, according to Bovay Engineers the streets as shown served Friendswood and more particularly the region and adjoining area to the best advantage. Bovay Engineers said that this report was not final and if a better arrangement could be made with the State Highway Department and the affected land owner, a change would be made before the final report.
Mr. Myron Worden submitted a plot layout of his land be�ng considered for development and discussed with the Planning Commission previously. (attached)
